WWII US Naval Trench Art Brass 40mm MK2 Cigar Ashtray

Description

Original WW2 US Navy trench art ashtray from a 40mm US Navy Mk. 2 Bofors a.rtillery s.hell c.asing (you can guess why).  It is 1 5/8" tall and weighs 14.5 oz.  I have not tried to polish/clean it.  There are some tiny dents on the rim of the casing (maybe someone tried using it as a hammer) but it gives it some character.  Overall it is in great shape.
