    USS CATOCTIN NAVY VESSEL PROGRAM AND ORIGINAL PHOTO WHICH WERE DISTRIBUTED TO SHIP CREW DURING CELEBRATION BANQUET TO COMMEMORATE THE VICTORY OVER JAPAN IN 1945. ON AUGUST 10, 1945 THE CATOCTIN SAILED FROM PEARL HARBOR IN HAWAII TO INCHON SOUTH KOREA IN ORDER TO ACCEPT THE SURRENDER OF THE JAPANESE FORCES THERE. DURING THIS TIME THE BANQUET WAS HELD FOR CREW AND OTHER DIGNITARIES WITH EACH MAN RECEIVING THIS PROGRAM BOOKLET--THE NAME OF THIS RECIPIENT PRINTED ON UPPER LEFT OF BOOKLET IS LT. J. TAYLOR AND HIS ASSIGNED SEAT WAS TABLE 8 PLACE 5. INSIDE THE PROGRAM IS THE JAPANESE SURRENDER BULLETIN, A MESSAGE FROM THE CATOCTIN COMMANDING OFFICER, COMIC TYPE CARICATURE,THE MENU FOR WARDROOM AND CREW, INCOMING COMMUNICATION OF JAPANESE SURRENDER ON AUGUST 15TH AND THE PHOTO WHICH DEPICTS THE JAPANESE/ALLIES SIGNING CEREMONY OF JAPAN'S SURRENDER.
