Soapstone House Hippo Hand Carved Stone Figurine Trinket Box Besmo Kenya Africa. Condition is "Pre-owned", excellent condition. Shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
This trinket is a hand carved stone keepsake purchased from an estate of international travelers (see the other listing for the carved candlesticks and napkin rings). While the hippo came from Besmo Kenya Africa, the lore of the house hippo is from Canada (google it for a laugh). The leaf decoration on the hippo is stamped, not carved, and the face detail is carved.
The trinket box is 4.25" x 2.25" wide x 3" high.
