Old  Civil War Carriage Prolong / Rope & Hardware / Cannon Display / This came from an old Civil War Collector. Just something he had extra in hopes he would get one of those old Napoleon = Parott - or an other 3 inch ordnance cannon. This was one that he said he had oiled many years back to preserve, so it is still oily . It is sold for display only because there are areas that are worn as seen in photos. He got the rope over 60 years ago, so if it is a reproduction it is no way a recent one as you can see by our photos, it really has age to it.. We are selling as a reproduction, jut because we have no history.. The last photos show how it was used on an old No1 carriage for a 3: ordnance cannon. Or maybe you can use for display on something else.
