  • Condition: The lighter has not been tested, but a new flint was installed and it sparks. It still has a wick and a great deal of the crackle finish is worn. The hinge is still functional with no play.

    Description

    This is a Zephyr Briquet U.S. Army Lighter. The name is cast inside the lid. They were produced from 1940-1945 by the Galter Mfg. Co.. They came with a massive cast alloy body as opposed to the Berkeley lighters. It has the distinctive horizontal incisions on the strike wheel that were characteristic of the brand. These are far less common than the Zippos of the time. Other than installing a flint I have not altered or cleaned the lighter. Items sold for more than 200.00 will be shipped requiring a signature confirmation of the buyer or it will be returned to seller.
